Ok, I finally gave in. I actually sat down and did some fan art. And not just any fan art - it's fan art from a fan fic. Yeah, I'm that big of a dork.

Anyways, I was reading the latest chapter in a story called "Pits" by cordria ( [link] - I love all her stuff!) and feeling in an artsy mood, and this was the result. It's a scene towards the end of the 4th chapter, or at least my take on it translated into not so great art. I strongly suggest you go check out the story - it's wonderfully written and just full of great imagery and angsty goodness (find it here [link] ).

As a little side note, I did take some artistic liberty with the blades - cordria describes them a little differently in her story (check out her DA account to see it [link] ). I tweaked it a little and ended up with a weapon that is kind of a bladed combination of tonfa (imagine a police baton if you don't know what that is) and kama (a kind of miniature scythe/sickle). I have some experience with various Japanese weapons, and these are two of my favorites. Basically, the bladed part works like any blade, and the handle (from the tonfa) adds extra stability when striking or blocking. I made the handle pointed just to open more options for poking opponents . Anyways... enough of my scary weapons rant.

This is still a work in progress, so I might clean it up a bit more at a later date.
